The Will Rogers

Memorial in

Claremore Oklahoma

is well worth the trip.

Located on 20 acres

that Rogers

purchased in 1911,

the State of

Oklahoma built the

memorial to Will

Rogers in 1948 after

his untimely death

with Widely Post in

an plane crash in

Alaska in 1935.

Rogers was well liked

as a humorist, actor,

cowboy, writer,

newspaper columnist

and radio

broadcaster.
